This Privacy Policy explains how 4Loop Ltd ("4Loop", "we", "us") handles information when you visit www.4loop.co.uk, use one of our listed Android apps, or contact us. The website does not require an account and does not display advertising or an email newsletter. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics may process website activity and browser information. The listed Android apps do not offer account creation or sign-in; they use Google Analytics for Firebase for app analytics only after an in-app opt-in. Website hosting logs and messages may also involve personal information.

Information we handle
- Website operation: When your browser requests a page, our website host may process technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and browser or device details to deliver and secure the site.
- Website analytics: If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 may receive page views, referring pages, interactions, browser and operating-system details, device information, approximate region and online identifiers. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions. Online identifiers such as IP addresses and cookie identifiers can be personal data when they identify or distinguish someone; we handle them as personal information where applicable. - Android app analytics: The five apps listed in Android apps and analytics SDKs use Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4) after you opt in through an in-app choice. This may involve an app-instance identifier, the Android Advertising ID unless disabled in the app configuration, automatically collected app-use events and screen information, app and device details such as app version and operating-system information, and approximate region inferred from IP address. These identifiers may be personal data where they can identify or distinguish a user.
- Android app settings and backup: The apps store wallpaper preferences in Android app storage. If Android Auto Backup is enabled, Android may include app preferences in a backup to your Google Account.
- Messages to us: If you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message or other information you choose to provide. Please do not include sensitive information unless it is necessary.
Android apps and analytics SDKs
The following apps use Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4) for app usage analytics after you opt in through the app. The SDK may automatically record events such as first opens, sessions, screen views and engagement. It may also collect the Android Advertising ID unless that collection is disabled in the app configuration. 4Loop uses these data to understand app usage and improve the apps, not to target advertising. The apps do not use Firebase Crashlytics or another separate crash-reporting SDK; full crash traces are not collected through a crash-reporting service.

The event-level and user-level retention periods above apply when an app stream is in the Google Analytics property used for our website. Standard aggregated reports may have different retention. Android Auto Backup may include app data, including preferences, in a backup to your Google Account if backup is enabled on your device. This is an Android/Google service; 4Loop does not receive or access those backup copies. You can manage backup through your device and Google Account settings.
How and why we use information
- We use website analytics, after your choice to accept, to understand site traffic and improve the website. We rely on your consent for this analytics processing; you can withdraw it at any time using Cookie settings.
- We use in-app analytics only to understand usage and improve the listed apps. Analytics is enabled only after you opt in through the app; you can withdraw your choice in the app's privacy settings. We rely on your consent for this analytics processing.
- We use messages you send to respond to your enquiry and manage any resulting business relationship. Depending on the enquiry, this is necessary to take steps you request before entering a contract, perform a contract, or pursue our legitimate interests in handling business correspondence.
- We and our website hosting provider may use technical logs to operate, maintain and protect the website, based on our legitimate interests in keeping it reliable and secure.
Cookies and your choices
Google Analytics is not loaded on this website unless you select Accept analytics. If you reject analytics, the Analytics tag is not loaded and the site remains usable. A browser-storage preference records your choice for up to 180 days; it is used only to remember that choice. Analytics cookies are used only after acceptance.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. When you withdraw acceptance, we stop loading Analytics on subsequent page loads and remove Google Analytics cookies where the browser permits. You can also clear browser storage or block cookies in your browser settings.
The website cookie choice does not control analytics in the Android apps. App analytics is opt-in separately in each app, and rejecting or withdrawing that choice does not prevent the wallpaper from working.
Who receives information
We share website and app analytics information with Google through Google Analytics (after you accept on the website or opt in through an app). We also share website and email information with our website hosting provider and providers that deliver our email. If Android Auto Backup is enabled, Android may back up app preferences to your Google Account; 4Loop does not receive or access those backups. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and services. We do not sell personal information or use analytics for targeted advertising.
International transfers
Our website and app analytics, website hosting and email providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where we or our providers transfer personal information internationally, we use applicable safeguards under data protection law. Android Auto Backup is a Google/Android service managed through your device and Google Account settings; see the Google Privacy Policy for information about Google's services. Contact us if you would like further information about safeguards used for information processed by our providers.
How long we keep information
We keep messages only for as long as needed to respond, manage any resulting relationship, meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims; we then delete them or keep only information that no longer identifies you. Our Google Analytics property is configured to automatically delete user-level data after 14 months and event-level data after 2 months. This setting applies to app streams in that property and does not affect standard aggregated reports, which may have different retention. Website security logs are retained according to the host's operational and security practices.
The Android apps keep wallpaper preferences in app storage until you clear the app's data or remove the app. If Android Auto Backup is enabled, backup copies are managed by Android/Google under your device and Google Account settings; 4Loop cannot access or directly delete those copies.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, restriction of or objection to processing, or data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal. Some rights apply only in particular circumstances. The Android apps do not offer account creation or sign-in. You can request deletion of app analytics data by emailing us with the app name and, if available, the app-instance identifier. We will use Google Analytics' available deletion tools for data we can identify. Clearing app storage or uninstalling an app does not by itself delete analytics data already sent to Google. For backup copies held in your Google Account through Android Auto Backup, use your device or Google Account backup controls; 4Loop cannot access or delete those copies.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) using its data protection complaints service.
Security and external services
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Links to other websites and services are governed by their own privacy information; we do not control their practices. For Google's practices, see the Google Privacy Policy.
